Shamari Earls, a four-star cornerback of out of Chester, Virginia, flipped to the Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon after being previously committed to the Dawgs’ in-conference rivals, the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Earls is a 6-foot-2, 180-pound cornerback who plays at Thomas Dale High School and had been committed to the Gamecocks since April. He is the eighth ranked cornerback in the country and the second ranked player in Virginia.

Earls has starred in both football and track and field. He has played as a two-way player, recording 25 tackles and three interceptions a season ago on the defensive side to go along with 715 yards and eight touchdowns as a receiver while also working as a return specialist.
